These pods book up fast, so locking in your dates early is a must. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this. They’re the perfect mix of adventure and comfort—after a day of trekking through Patagonia’s wild landscapes, there’s nothing better than coming back to your own cozy, glass-walled retreat. You have countless breathtaking options—whether it’s right outside your pod overlooking Fitz Roy, a secluded valley surrounded by glaciers, or along one of the many scenic trails.

Here are some of my absolute favorite spots for an epic elopement near OVO Patagonia:

• Laguna de los Tres – If you’re up for a challenge, this hike leads to one of the most jaw-dropping views of Fitz Roy. It’s a long trek (about 13 miles round trip), but trust me, standing at the edge of the turquoise lake with those towering peaks in front of you? Totally worth it. If you want that classic Patagonia backdrop, this is the spot. 
• Laguna Torre – A little less intense than Laguna de los Tres but just as stunning. This trail winds through forests and valleys before opening up to an unreal view of Cerro Torre reflecting in a glacial lake. It’s perfect if you want a scenic, adventure-filled elopement without the all-day hike! 
• Loma del Pliegue Tumbado – If you’re after those wide, sweeping views of the entire Fitz Roy range, this is the spot. It’s a bit of a climb, but the 360° panoramas make it feel like you’re on top of the world. Ideal for couples who want a remote, cinematic backdrop. 
• Mirador del Torre – Short on time or just want an easy trek with an epic view? This is a quick and accessible trail that still gives you that classic Patagonia scenery. The view of Cerro Torre and the Fitz Roy River makes for a ridiculously romantic elopement spot! 
• Poincenot Campsite – If you’re all about adventure, imagine eloping under the stars at this backcountry campsite. It’s located in the heart of Patagonia, with front-row sunrise views of Fitz Roy. Waking up here feels like something out of a dream! 

Wherever you choose, you really can’t go wrong—every single location here is straight out of a postcard. If you’re dreaming of an elopement that feels like a true adventure, Patagonia is where it’s at! 

4. Pack for the Weather

Layers are non-negotiable here. You’ll want a solid base layer, an insulating mid-layer, and a windproof, waterproof shell to handle whatever Patagonia throws your way. Trust me, the wind is no joke—you’ll be so glad you packed that extra layer.

Sturdy hiking boots are another must. Even if you’re not trekking all the way to Laguna de los Tres, the terrain here is rugged, and you’ll want solid footing for those epic elopement spots. Break them in before your trip (blisters on your elopement day? No, thanks).

Getting to OVO Patagonia isn’t just a ride—it’s the start of your adventure. First up, a bumpy 4×4 drive through some of the most unreal landscapes in El Chaltén, followed by a half-day hike that gets you right into the heart of Patagonia’s wild beauty!

And just when you think it can’t get any more epic, you’ll take on a via ferrata (basically a super cool assisted climbing route) to reach your final destination to the pods! 

Once you’re at OVO, it’s all about slowing down and soaking it all in. You’ll settle into your panoramic pod, enjoy some insanely good meals (depending on the program you choose), and just exist in one of the most breathtaking places on earth. Hands down, one of my favorite experiences on my recent trip to Patagonia! 

My Personal Experience at OVO Patagonia

From the moment I arrived, I knew this was one of the most surreal locations I had ever experienced. The feeling of being completely immersed in nature while staying in a sleek, modern capsule was unlike anything else!

No crowds, no noise—just the untamed beauty of Patagonia surrounding me. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and even though English isn’t widely spoken, my Spanish fluency made the experience truly seamless.

This place is truly untouched by the wedding industry (for now), making it an absolute hidden gem for couples wanting a private, adventurous, and luxurious elopement.
