I’m Sasha, a self-taught, elopement and wedding photographer in Texas with a love for dirt roads and mountain air and a flair for style. With my specialties lying in weddings and elopements, I work with my clients to adapt my aesthetic to their unique personalities and situations and capture moments that they feel seen in.
If you’ve ever had weather crash your photo plans, you know the scramble. That last-minute “Where can we go that’s still beautiful?” moment. But honestly? Sometimes those spontaneous pivots are where the magic happens—and Julia and Kyle’s Lake Dillon engagement photos are proof.

These two Colorado locals were originally set on Loveland Pass for their session. But Colorado weather did what Colorado weather does—threw us a curveball. So we pivoted.
Enter: Sapphire Point Overlook. A random detour turned into a dream location. Between the alpine lake views, soft golden light, and moody clouds giving us cinematic drama—it couldn’t have worked out better.

Julia and Kyle are getting married next year, and this session gave us time to meet, vibe, and shake off the nerves before the big day. Just a laid-back adventure that turned into a gallery full of the good stuff.
Whether you’re local or planning a destination session, Lake Dillon is such a win. It’s got that rare mix of easy access and epic scenery—think alpine lake meets rugged peaks, with just enough wind to give your hair that “main character energy.”

Here’s why I love this area for Colorado couples sessions:

If you’re dreaming of Lake Dillon engagement photos, don’t skip Sapphire Point Overlook. It’s like a Colorado postcard come to life—mountain summits, dense pines, and a lake that actually sparkles.
The best part? It’s incredibly easy to get to. No gear-hauling, no outfit changes in the backseat of your car. We parked, walked a short trail, and started shooting. That kind of ease is a lifesaver when weather forces a plan B or you just want a chill experience from start to finish.

Why Sapphire Point Overlook is such a gem:
My best tip: Plan for a sunrise or weekday session if you want fewer crowds. And trust me, the early alarm is so worth it.
Sessions like this are a good reminder: weather can change your plans, but it doesn’t have to ruin the vibe. Being flexible led us to a location that felt authentic to Julia and Kyle’s relationship—spontaneous, fun, a little unexpected, and totally beautiful.
I always scout backup spots and stay in close contact with couples leading up to their session. Whether it’s sun, rain, wind, or snow—we’re gonna make it work. That’s the beauty of working with someone who’s just as in love with Colorado’s mountains as you are.

Julia and Kyle didn’t want anything stiff or overly posed. They just wanted to celebrate this chapter—laughing, cuddling up, and soaking in the views before the wedding day hits full swing.
And that’s how I roll. I show up with direction (don’t worry, I won’t make you freestyle), but also leave space for the real stuff: the moments that aren’t planned but make your photos feel like a memory.

If you’re planning your own engagement photos at Lake Dillon, or looking for a Colorado photographer who’s down to pivot, laugh, and make the most of the moment—I’d love to be your person. You bring the love story, I’ll bring the snacks and a camera.
